Ohana Hale’s co-founder, Joseph Spada, LPN, brings his Italian family and hospitality roots, nursing and senior care training from Switzerland, and nearly thirty-five years of Adult Family Home operational expertise.

Co-founders Kekoa and Lynn Lwin bring their Hawaiian roots and welcoming, laidback island culture. Ohana means “family,” and Hale means “home.” Hence, welcome to your family home!

Joseph Spada, LPN

Joseph Spada, LPN

Co-founder - Director of Operations

Joseph is a Certified Geriatric Care Provider and geriatric nurse with over 35 years of experience in long-term care, geriatric health management, and adult family home operations.

Born in Sicily and raised in Switzerland, Joseph studied geriatric care at the University Hospital in Geneva, Switzerland. He served in geriatrics, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and emergency room care.

Joseph continues to raise standards, improve care, and exceed the expectations of his residents and families.

Co-founder - Entity Representative

Lynnette is Ohana Hale’s Entity Representative and Resident Manager. An occupational therapist backed by a lifetime of helping the elderly and children reach a better quality of life. Her passion for serving others is a key ingredient in the compassionate care she provides.

Dr. Duong M. Duong, MD

Medical Care Provider

Dr. Duong M. Duong is a seasoned expert in geriatric and palliative care, with a deep focus on dementia and Parkinson’s disease. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has a rich history of serving the elderly, including 20 years at Beacon Hill Pacific Medical Center and running a private practice in Seattle’s International District.

Dr. Duong is passionate about delivering top-notch geriatric care, bringing his extensive experience and commitment to Ohana Hale Senior Living of Bellevue.

Kekoa Lwin

Co-founder - Business Development

Kekoa is a former pastor turned real estate investor and entrepreneur. His love for people and desire to help others led him to partner with Joseph Spada to open one of the best care facilities in Washington State.

Kekoa led the creative design and management of transforming the Ohana Hale Bellevue home into a truly unique environment to meet the specific needs of our residents.
